EDS spent second day of the Winter University in the Committee of Regions. The day started with a greeting from Mr. Luc Van den Brande, president of the Committee of Regions followed by speech of Mr. Othmar Karas, Vice-Chairman of the EPP Group in the EP and was continued with three very interesting workshops in the Committee of Regions concerning the topics of demographic change, academic and youth unemployment and dialogue of cultures. We also had an open discussion with Mr. Antonio Lopez-Isturiz, EPP Secretary General and the day was crowned with a gala dinner with Dr. Hans-Gert Pöttering, MEP, president of the European parliament in retirement and the chairman of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
