From 2 to 6 December 2009 in the capital of Israel and the center of the Holy Land was hold the second Council Meeting of the European Democrat Students’. The event was generously hosted by the youth organization of the Likud Party - Young LIKUD Congress. It was the first time for EDS to have Council Meeting in Israel.

During the stay EDS was able to visit many interesting as historical and important economic and political places. For example, to plunge into the maelstrom of history and go to the places of birth and tragic death of Jesus, make a wish on the evening lights of the old wall of Jerusalem (Wailing Wall), visit the mysterious and wonderful North of the country with beautiful expanses of water.

Besides the excursion program EDS guests had the opportunity to learn more about the Israeli neighborhood policy, to visit Gaza Strip, to see the life of the Bedouin and learn more about local traditions, to understand the cultural spirit of Israel.

During visit in Israeli Parliament – Knesset, EDS met Yariv Levin, Chairman of the House Committee of the Knesset and Naomi Blumenthal, former member of the Knesset and former Deputy Minister for Infrastructure. He perfectly described the exits situation of Israel now and the plans in future building relations with neighboring countries.

During the work of the Bureau were summed up the results of the outgoing year, were presented plans for next year.

But the most important event, honestly speaking for the sake of which all have gathered, it was the Council Meeting of EDS. During it were submitted reviews of EDS, for example, there was new Youth association Miras from Kazakhstan.

The Council Meeting was held at the rare in a friendly atmosphere and without much discussion, which may be a good indication of the unity of all members of the organization and finding a general consensus in the Holy Land.

In the end more than 50 participants from 25 countries had the greatest party in Tel Aviv.
