Newly elected Bureau of European Democrat Students (EDS) met in Balatonszárszó (Lake Balaton, Hungary) from 28th to 30th August for its first official Bureau meeting. The meeting which had been organised by EDS Chairman Bence Bauer personally was hosted by Fidesz Youth Hungary simultaneously with their III. Summer University at Balaton.
With all the Vice-chairman and the Secretariat present, an ambitious working plan has been adopted, the events and the strategy for the working year fixed and several officers appointed. The highpoint of the meeting happened on Saturday when after more than 12 hours of intensive work EDS Bureau concluded with the agenda of the upcoming 2009/2010 term.
In the sense of more professionalism and transparency the Bureau assigned each Vice-Chairman a certain area he or she is to work on intensively. In distributing the responsibilities, members of the Bureau followed thoroughly the principle of duty-competence-responsibility.
To show its earnest devotion to be more transparent, the Bureau also decided that this distribution should be communicated in appropriate forms to EDS member organisations and partners in order for them to keep track of individual responsibilities of Bureau members:
