Condolences

On behalf of European Democrat Students (EDS) I would like to express our deep condolences for the loss of the President of Poland, Lech Kaczyński and other officials of the Republic of Poland early this morning.

We would like to commemorate with our thoughts also Arkadiusz Rybicki MP who was strongly involved in the engagement of young Polish in European Democrat Students in the 1980s. We are grateful to him and to all who sacrified their security and their lifes for fighting totalitarianism and who played an eminent role in defending freedom, human rights and democracy.

This big tragedy on the commemoration day of the Katyń massacre reflects the need of keeping the memory of the victims alive. We wish Poland and all Polish strength and the help of God.
