Hungarian Electoral Campaign Comes To Its End

Since end of January the electoral campaign in Hungary started. EPP full member Fidesz Hungarian Civic Union and its Chairman, candidate for Prime Minister, Viktor Orbán, have a public support of 60% in the newest polls.
EDS call for a right implementation of the Bologna Process at the 2010 Ministerial Conference
The EDS delegation headed by EDS Chairman Bence Bauer took part at the 2010 Bologna Ministerial Conference. At the end of the period set up for the creation of the European Higher Education Area, European Democrat Students were present in Budapest and Vienna where 47 countries gathered in order to look forward the next decade. Winter University 2010 - Day IV: EDS Council Meeting
On Saturday, EDS had its 3rd Council Meeting in the working year 2009/2010. Here, after 7 years, a new Basic Programme could be launched where EDS presents its views with respect to Higher Education questions, but also with regard to the challenges of today. Apart from that, Young Likud Israel was accepted as new affiliate member and placed on the spot in its membership fee category.
Winter University 2010 - Day II: Exciting Working Day in the Committee of Regions
EDS spent second day of the Winter University in the Committee of Regions. The day started with a greeting from Mr. Luc Van den Brande, president of the Committee of Regions followed by speech of Mr. Othmar Karas, Vice-Chairman of the EPP Group in the EP and was continued with three very interesting workshops in the Committee of Regions concerning the topics of demographic change, academic and youth unemployment and dialogue of cultures. We also had an open discussion with Mr. Antonio Lopez-Isturiz, EPP Secretary General and the day was crowned with a gala dinner with Dr. Hans-Gert Pöttering, MEP, president of the European parliament in retirement and the chairman of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. |
